Coffee & Everyday Life
Spetema
Brand Residency
The Everyday Cup
Residency in preparation
Most of the coffee anyone drinks in a day is not drunk in a specialty bar. It is drunk at a kitchen counter, in an office, between two meetings. For six months, together with Spetema, we write about that cup: where it comes from, what makes it dependable, and why it is worth paying attention to.
About the residency
The cup between two meetings
Most of the coffee anyone drinks in a day is not drunk in a specialty bar. It is drunk at a kitchen counter, in an office, on foot. And almost nobody writes about it. For six months we write about exactly that cup: where it comes from, what makes it dependable, and why it deserves the same attention as the Saturday one.
What interests us is where the question of taste ends and the question of reliability begins: what “good coffee” even means when the cup belongs to a working day rather than a tasting. And the small pleasures at the edge of habit: the moments a cup makes better while asking nothing back.
A residency is an editorial season: the brand is the context of the stories, not their hero. A slow city does not live only in its specialty bars; you can tell one by what its most ordinary cup looks like.
