For six months, together with VisitSofia, we look at the city through the cup: its neighbourhoods and their hours, the mountain at the end of a tram line, the people behind the counter, and what is left of a city once the cup is empty.

Sofia is a city you inhabit through small things: a side street, an hour of the day, a table by a window. For six months we look at the city through the cup, not as a guidebook, but as an account of what makes a place worth staying in.
The season moves through the neighbourhoods and their hours, through the people behind the counter (the roasters, baristas and owners who keep a scene alive) and reaches the context that makes Sofia exactly this city: the mountain at the end of a tram line, the light, the rhythm. It is written on foot, in real distances and real hours.
A residency is an editorial season, and the choice of places in it is entirely editorial: ours, documented, unbound. The partner is the context of the stories, not their hero and not their editor.
